Carl H. Wemhoener, 60, of 1204 S. Fourteenth, died Thursday at 5:20 p.m. in Mercy hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Burlington, Sept. 16, 1890, and was a life resident Nov. 7, 1917, he married Agnes Larson. She died March 27, 1944. He was a bookbinder for 40 years with the Acres Blackmar company, retiring in January because of his health. He was a member of St. Luke Evangelical & Reformed church.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice, at home, and Mrs. Paul Behne of Burlington; 4 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Emma Schrey of San Bernardino, Calif. A brother, and a son are dead.

The body is at Burnett-Wallen funeral home. Services will be announced later. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
