Bernice A. Ebert, 87, 52 E. Madison, died Tuesday evening at the Parkview Care Center.

Services are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Bernice A. Ebert was born March 19, 1895, in Mediapolis. She was the daughter of Martin Luther and Sarah Elizabeth Creighton Blake. She was reared and educated in the Mediapolis Community and graduated from the Mediapolis High School.

She taught school in Des Moines County and was later employed in an office in Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Ebert was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was active in church organizations.

(She is) survived by a son, William B. Ebert, St. Joseph, Mo.; a daughter, Virginia Ann Barber, Troy, Mich.; three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Leslie Ibbotson, Mediapolis.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
