Frederick Henry Garret, 77, of Burlington, died at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at Parkview Care Center.

Born January 30, 1929, in Burlington, he was the son of George W. and Florence M. Voigt Garrett.

Mr. Garrett was a factory worker.

He was a WWII Marine Corp veteran and a member of AMVETS. He was a pilot for 60 years. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one sister, Irene Heuser of Roseville, California; and one brother, George Garrett of Rancho Cordova, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation, as per his wishes, his body has been cremated.

Pastor Carl Engstrom will officiate, with inurnment in the National Cemetery in Keokuk on Frday, March 24, 2006 at 1:30 P.M.
