DIES FOLLOWING LONG ILLNESS

Calvin B. Stewart, 64, a farmer in the Morning Sun community for many years, died Sunday afternoon at Mercy hospital in Burlington following a long illness. Mr. Stewart had been hospitalized since about September 15 and had been seriously ill most of the time since.
He was born in the Garland community on December 24, 1885, the son of William and Mary Hallock Stewart. He is survived by two sisters, Mr. Eldred Wilson, Mediapolis, and Carrie Stewart, Quincy, Ill., and three brothers, including E.M. Stewart of Quincy.

The body was taken to Prugh’s chapel in Burlington and later to Quincy where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday.
