Christian Andre, an old and highly respected resident of this city, passed away at a late hour last night at his home, No. 1604 Summer Street. He was born in the fatherland seventy-two years ago, and came to Burlington many years ago. He was formerly the faithful watchman at the Merchants National bank. An honest, kindly man, he will be missed and mourned by all who knew him well. He is survived by one brother, Mr. P.A. Andre, and a sister, Miss Christine Andre, and two sons, P. Henry and John J. Andre, both engaged in the grocery trade in this city.

The arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
