James Lee Guzman, 36, of Burlington died Friday, July 20, 2012, at his home.
Born Jan. 20, 1976, in Ottumwa, he was the son of Daniel Lewis Guzman and Wanita L. Leathers.
Mr. Guzman worked in manufacturing at KPI and Winegard. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed drawing, playing guitar, listening to music, fishing, long walks and time with his children.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Wanita Leathers and Juan Rodriguez of Burlington; two daughters, Sequoia Guzman and Raven Ralston, both of Burlington; one son, Avery Horton of Burlington; his grandmother, Yvonna Leathers of Burlington; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, where family will receive friends.
The funeral for Mr. Guzman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating. The body will be cremated following the service. Burial will be at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
