Cecilia Mary Bellew

Cecilia Mary Bellew, 99, of Fort Madison died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012, at West Point Care Center.

Born Nov. 9, 1912, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of George and Anna Boeding Krumpleman. On Aug. 1, 1936, she married Vernon M. Bellew in Fort Madison. He died Dec. 10, 1984.

Mrs. Bellew was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Fort Madison Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include one son, Michael Bellew of Fort Madison; four daughters, Joan Bellew of Fort Madison, Patricia Shores of New London, Ann Burghoffer of Bethlehem, Pa., and Janis Wadle of Milo; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated.

The memorial Mass for Mrs. Bellew will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison, with the Rev. David Wilkening officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison.

A memorial has been established for School Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund.

King-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory in Fort Madison is in charge of arrangements.
