BURLINGTON- John Wayne Crowner, Sr., 74, of Burlington, former area resident, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.

Crowner was born Sept. 4, 1917, in Fairfield, the son of John William and Ethel Anders Crowner. He married Anna Mae Marshall on Jan. 22, 1938, in West Burlington. He was a production foreman at IAAP for 28 years, retiring in 1982. He served in the Navy in World War II and was a member of AARP.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Ronald Wayne of Holiday Island, Ark., James William and John Wayne, both of West Burlington; three daughters, Carol Anne Miller of Burlinton, Dorothy Jean BA:: of Bettendorf, Martha Jane Polewchak of Madison, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford and Everett, both of West Burlington; two sisters, Ruth Young of Taylor Ridge, Ill., and Evelyn Magnuson of Rockford, Ill. His parents, a daughter, Linda Kay Crowner and a brother, Charles, preceded him in death.
Burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
