Burlington native William McFarland Copeland, 72, Concord, Calif. died at. Mt. Diablo Hospital there Sunday, Feb. 6.
He was born Feb. 21, 1910, to John R. and Eleanor McFarland Copeland. He married Virginia E. Ballou June 2, 1934, in Rochester, Minn.
A retired hotel and apartment house manager, he was a member of the Episcopal Church and Rotary Club.
Surviving: The wife; two sons, Dr. John W., Clayton, Calif., and Richard C., Antioch, Calif.; and one grandson.
The body was cremated. Committal of the ashes will be scheduled later in Aspen Grove cemetery. Prugh's chapel is in charge.
