Dodgeville native, Louis Panther, 58, of 650 Sydney, Loves Park, Ill, suffered a fatal heart attack, Feb. 8.

Born Nov. 4, 1924, to Leonard and Bertha Vorwerk Panther, he married Joanne De Tacey, Feb. 7, 1948, in Rock Island, Ill.

He worked for Service Transport Lines, Rockford, Ill. where he had moved after living in the Quad Cities Area.

Surviving: the wife; three sons, Michael, Oakland, Calif., and Paul and Robert, both at home; two daughters, Diane, Rockford, and Carolyn, Loves Park; three brothers, William, Houston, Texas, Ervin, Rock Island, and Paul, Burlington; and two sisters, Mrs. Dewey(Charlotte) Grabb, Davenport, and Mrs. Alan(Ruth)Estelle, Jessup.

Funeral: 9;30a.m. Friday at St. Bridget Catholic church, Loves Park. The Body is at Delehanty Funeral home, Loves Park.
