Andre – Services for Elmer A. Andre, 31, of route 2, killed in an auto accident south of Burlington Monday, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wallen funeral home. Rev. L.A. Collett will officiate. Burial, with military rites by the American Legion, will be at Memorial Park cemetery.

Monday evening's crash on highway 61 added three to the 1953 toll. Killed in the accident were Elmer A. Andre, 31, of route 2; Clarence J. Bush, 37, of Kankakee, Ill., and Keith Wiles, 23, Manhattan, Kan.

No inquest has been set in the Monday evening collision about 4 ½ miles south of Burlington between vehicles driven by Bush and Andre.

Services for Andre will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Wallen funeral home. Rev. L.A. Collett will officiate. The American Legion will conduct graveside military rites at Memorial Park cemetery.

Andre served in the Pacific in World War 2. He married Genevieve Kelly in St. Louis in May of 1946.

Surviving are the widow: three children, Georgia Arlene, Colin James and Roger William; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Andre of Tama road; three brothers, George of Milan, Ill., Harold of St. Louis, and Kenneth of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Walker, of Silvis, Ill., and Mrs. Dorothy Smothers of Burlington route 2. His father, W. A. Andre died in September of 1952
