Zora Walker

Mrs. Zora Mattie Walker, 72, route 2, Burlington, died in Burlington hospital Wednesday at 7:40 a.m. after a brief illness.

She was born Dec. 9, 1882, in Des Moines County, the daughter of John and Lydia Van Osdal. On Dec. 9, 1908, she was married to Neal Walker in Des Moines County.
She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are three sons, Earl, Paul and Ray Walker, all of Des Moines County, also one sister, Mrs. Nora Walker, Fairfield; also eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Her husband, one son, her parents and one brother are dead.

Services will be held in Prugh's chapel Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. John Poole will officiate. Burial will be in the Walker cemetery.
