Neal R. Walker, 67, of Burlington route 2, well known Tama township farmer died Sunday at 3:50 p.m. in Burlington hospital. He had been in failing health for the past two months.
He was born in Des Moines county, Nov. 4, 1885, the son of Thomas and Cynthia Caster Walker. December 9, 1908, he married Zora Van Osdol in Des Moines county. He was a member of First Methodist church of Burlington.
Surviving are his widow; three sons, Earl, Paul, and Ray Walker, all of Burlington route 2; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Walker of Yarmouth and Claude Walker of Burlington; a number of nieces and nephews. A son and a sister are dead.
Services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Prugh's chapel, Rev. J.W. Poole will officiate. Burial will be in Walker cemetery.
