Phyllis Willson Greer, 79, of Beaver Falls, Pa. died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, in Beaver Falls.

Born Aug. 19, 1916, in Oakville, she was the daughter of Oliver Lowry and Gladys Ruth Matson Willson. She married Robert T. Greer on Dec. 27, 1949.

Mrs. Greer lived in Louisa County until 1936, attended school in Wapello, and moved to Little York, Ill., where she graduated from Monmouth College. She also attended the University of Wisconsin and taught school in Joy(Ill.) High School for two years. She was a bacteriologist for seven years with the Sanitary Engineering Lab in Springfield, Ill. She lived in Upper Darby, Pa., from 1951 to 1962, when she moved at Geneva College for 25 years, including 23 years as a mail clerk.

She was a member of College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Highlanders Woman's Missionary Fellowship, and was treasurer of the College Hill Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Ruth Lois Greer of Kinsman, Ohio; one son, William Samuel Greer of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Ivan Willson of Roopville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews, three sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at College Hill Reformed Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls, Pa.

A graveside service for Mrs. Greer will be 3 p.m. Friday in the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery Church Cemetery in rural Morning Sun.

A memorial has been established. Contributions may be sent to Geneva College Memorial Fund, Beaver Falls, Pa. 15010.
