Francis Leroy(Jonny)Shipley, 16, of 508 Swan, West Burlington, died at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis hospital, after a long illness.

Born May 7, 1940, at Centerburg, Ohio, he was the son of Maurice and Adra Shipley. He was a member of the West Burlington Methodist church.

Surviving are his parents, four brothers, Larry, Otis, Thomas, and Jimmy Shipley; six sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Herman, Nancy, Lora Jean, Judy, Velma, Rhonda Sue, all of Burlington and West Burlington; his gandparents, Mrs. Ada Shipley, Centerburg, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Harrison, Knox City, Mo.

Services will be at West Burlington Methodist church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. James V. Poulsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church from Prugh's chapel, Saturday morning. It will lie in state until time for services.

The family will receive friends at Prugh's chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
