Greta May Freeman,106, of Bettendorf, formerly of Rome, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley.

Born May 15, 1901, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Arthur R. and Maude A. Mitchell Dold. On Dec. 8, 1927, she married William H. Freeman in Mount Pleasant. He died Dec. 7, 1940. She later married Tom Freeman in Mount Pleasant. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Frances Ebbesmier of Burlington; three sons, William A. Freeman of Newburg, Ind., Eugene Freeman and Larry Freeman both of Bettendorf; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary Mason of Portland, Ore.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and two brothers.

Family graveside services will be held at a later date in Rome. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established for Riverview Manor Nursing Home.
