David Carberry

David Lee Carberry, 33, of Burlington, died Friday, July 16, 1999, in rural Burlington.

Born April 5, 1966, in Downey, Calif., he was the son of Robert and Judy Thompson Carberry. He was raised by his grandmother, Willys Thompson and Mike and Janet Thompson. On April 24, 1998, he married Chris Ann Springsteen in Burlington.

Mr. Carberry was a supervisor for Raider Precast Concrete in West Burlington.

He attended Paramount Christian School in Paramount, Calif. He was a 1985 graduate of Dallas City (Ill.) High School and served in the Marine Corps. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed golfing, bow hunting and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Davis Carberry of Burlington; his father, Robert Carberry; his mother, Judy Smith; one brother, Danny Carberry of Los Angeles; his grandmother, Willys Thompson of Galt, Calif.; one uncle; three aunts; two nieces; and one nephew.

Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chap-el, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A graveside committal service for Mr. Carberry with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10102 will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Edwards Cemetery in Oakville, with John Wolfe officiating.

A memorial has been established for his son.
