Mary Lou Mathews

Mary Lou Mathews, 72, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Danville, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, May 5, 1994, at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.

Born Oct. 2, 1921, near Danville, she was the daughter of Henry and Clara Thie Moehn. On May 31, 1941, she married Wendell Mathews in Danville.

Mrs. Mathews was a 1939 graduate of Danville High School. She was an executive secretary at Burlington Bank and Trust and later at other banks in Arizona. She and her husband performed musically for many groups in the Mesa area over 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Norman Mathews of Columbia, Md.; three grandsons, and one brother, Harold Moehn of Crookston, Minn.

The funeral for Mrs. Mathews will be at 2p.m. Tuesday in Danville United Methodist church with the Rev. Elmer Brunk officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to the Danville United Methodist church and the American Cancer Society.

Elliot Chapel in New London is in charge of arrangements.
