Dorothy L. Williams, 89, formerly of Disco, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec.18, 2007, at 10:50 p.m. at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, Ill.

Born Aug.18, 1918 in Henderson County, Ill., she was the daughter of Abraham and Cora Shick Magee. On June 6, 1940, she married John N. Williams in Burlington. He died Jan. 23, 1992.

Mrs. Williams was reared and educated in Stronghurst, Ill. She was a member of the former Disco United Methodist Church and attended the Hope Wesleyan Church after moving to Galesburg in 1990.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Williams of Galesburg; one daughter, Phyllis Johnson of Henderson, Ill.; one brother, Jerry McGee of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Ill., where family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m.

The graveside service for Mrs. Williams will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Crane Cemetery near Lomax, Ill. with the Revs. Brian Sexton and her grandson, John Johnson officiating.

A memorial has been established.
