MT. PLEASANT - Mr. Floyd M. Norton, 78, Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Aug. 26 at the Maple Leaf Health Care Center.

He was born June 23, 1907, near Mt. Pleasant to Arron and Anna Van Winkle Norton. He married Gladys Bain Dec. 30, 1926, at Wayland.

He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Mt, Pleasant Moose Lodge, and of the VFW.

Surviving : His wife; one daughter, Mrs. Virgil(Dorothea)Landrum, Danville; four sons, Max, Yarmouth; Harold, Fairfield; Rex, Mt. Pleasant, and Richard, Aledo, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Imal Rich; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Beatty Funeral Home, Rev. Henry Ledbetter; Green Mound Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Green Mound Cemetery.
