Nina Pauline Roberts, 85, of Burlington died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Great River Medical Center Klein Center in Burlington.

Born Oct. 16, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Vern Everet and Marie Alice Peterson Kesler. On Oct. 16, 1943, she married Larry Elisha Roberts in Mount Pleasant. He died Feb. 18, 1994.

Mrs. Roberts had served as treasurer of Buena Vista County. She was a member of Parkside First Baptist Church in Burlington. She was active in her church and enjoyed socializing.

Survivors include two sisters, Violet Byers of Bedford, Pa., and Marjorie Roberts of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Parkside First Baptist Church in Burlington, where the family will receive friends. Lunch will be served at noon.

The funeral for Mrs. Roberts will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Marshall Jackman and Tyrone Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Olena Cemetery in Olena, Ill.

Memorials have been established for Parkside First Baptist Church and Great River Medical Center Klein Center.
