Jeff Rodgers
Jeff Rodgers, 46, of Morning Sun, formerly of West Burlington, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at his home.
Born Oct. 8, 1955, in Mediapolis, he was the son of Edward Lee and Beverly Joan Maass Rodgers Rowan.
Mr. Rodgers was an over-the-road owner-operator truck driver covering 48 states for Tan Tara Transportation.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, metal detecting, pheasant hunting and was learning to fly. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include one daughter, Kaycee Johnston of Wisconsin; one son, Joshua Brenna of Minnesota; special friend, Jeannette Butts of West Burlington; two sisters, Kelly Rodgers of Burlington and Troyce Stewart of Kentucky; and one brother, Michael Rodgers of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m.
The funeral for Mr. Rodgers will be at 2 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel, with Pastor Jeff McPheron officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
