Eugene Danover

Eugene Merle Danover, 89, of West Point, died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born April 17, 1900, in West Point, he was the son of John C. And Belle Hosier Danover. He married Sarah J. Enslow Dec.7, 1927, in Fort Madison. She died October 29, 1980.

He was a resident of the West Point area before moving to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1981. He was a farmer before retiring. He was a member of the West Point Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son, John Danover, West Point; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn(Donald)Malcom, Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Vergie(Oland)Wilson, Kahoka, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Visitation will be after noon Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Link Funeral Home, West Point.

The service for Mr. Danover will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Link Funeral home, West Point, with the Rev. David Lukov officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials has been established for the American Cancer Society and the West Point Presbyterian Church.
