Floyd Miller

Floyd V. Miller, 78, of 411 Melville St., West Burlington, died at 1:57 p.m. Friday, March 1, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Sept. 10, 1917, in Pleasant Grove, he was the son of William C. and Grace Funk Miller. On March 20, 1947, he married Hazel Allen in Danville. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Miller farmed near Danville until 1973 and later did carpentry work.

He was a graduate of Sperry High School and a member of Danville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Delores Borders of Keokuk and Diane Prickett of West Burlington; nine grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Allen of Yarmouth.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Friends may call after noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 830 p.m.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be 130 p.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with Elder Ned Hunger officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Midwest Old Threshers of Mount Pleasant.
