Helen Carroll Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard E. Smith died at the home of her parents, two and one-half miles from Mt. Union at 8:30 A.M. on March 30, 1929 at the age of 3 years 1 month 19days. She was born at the Burlington Hospital, Burlington, Iowa on February 11,1926.

Helen was sick for a short time with bronchial pneumonia and heart trouble. She leaves to mourn her loss, her mother and father, a younger brother, Noble, three grandparents, Mrs. A.E. Miller of Mediapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Smith of Mt. Union, Ia., five uncles and five aunts and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home of her parents, Monday, April 1 at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Clare Boos of Burlington, Iowa officiating and internment was made in Trinity Cemetery south of Mt. Union, Ia.

Helen Carroll, sweet little rose bud, was transplanted into the Father's land where she might grow and develop under the Father's loving care awaiting those who cherished and loved her below to come.
