Mathias Services Will Be Tuesday

Services for S-Sgt. Joseph V. Mathias, 24, who was killed in Vietnam Sept. 14, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island(Ill.) Arsenal.
The body is scheduled to arrive in Burlington tonight.
Mathias, a career soldier, died in an accidental explosion.
He was born Sept. 30, 1944, in Galesburg, Ill., the son of Jack and Doris Dillon Mathias. He was of the Christian faith.
While in service in Korea he married Y I at Seoul.
Surviving: The wife, Mrs. Chong Cha Mathias, 2210 Division, one daughter, Susan, and one son, Richard, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Walter Rehm, Burlington; his father, Jack Mathias, Moline, Ill.; two brothers, Michael R. and Terrance, both of Moline, and Mrs. Rebecca Tee, Burlington.
Also surviving: Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Dillon, Burlington, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mathias, Galesburg; several aunts, uncles and nephews.
