Floyd RobertsonFloyd A. Robertson, 87, of Burlington, died Sunday, May 26, 1996, at his home.
Born Feb. 1, 1909, in rural Des Moines County, he was the son of Edward and Ida Archer Robertson. On Oct. 11, 1934, he married Duella B. Witte in Galesburg, Ill.
Mr. Robertson was a farmer.
He was a member of Odd Fellows organization.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Marvin Robertson of Iowa City, Bob Robertson of Hamilton, Ill., Allen Robertson of Danville and Roger Robertson of Winter Haven, Fla.; three daughters, Margie Marshall and Janice Eland, both of Burlington and Nancy Heater of Middletown; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Horace Robertson of Mediapolis and Kenneth Robertson of Farnhamville; and one sister, Mary Jean Jarvis of Mesa, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by one son, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 7 to 830 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel.
The funeral for Mr. Robertson will be 130 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Revs. Milton Geisler and Bob Zirckenbach officiating. Burial will be in Old Stone Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for BMC Home Health Care and Grace Methodist Church.
