Thomas DeLashmutt
Thomas W. DeLashmutt, 57, of West Burlington, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at his home.

Born Dec. 28, 1949, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Donald and Virgie Peters DeLashmutt. He married Sharon Cluney and they later divorced.

As a child he lived in Morocco and North Africa with his parents and sister. While living abroad, he enjoyed the beach and the riding stables. Mr. DeLashmutt was a 1969 West Burlington Arnold High School graduate. He worked at Experian in Mount Pleasant for over 20 years. He enjoyed cycle riding, cats and traveling. He was a loyal Burlington Bees fan.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Gerling of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

According to his wishes there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in rural West Burlington.

A memorial has been established for the Burlington Public Library.
