Mrs. Florence Ashman

CHICAGO - Funeral for Mrs. Florence Ashman, Burlington native who died here THursday, July 25, was held here Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

She was born June 29, 1902, to Henry and Flora Knox Poppe. She attended Immaculate Conception academy in Davenport and received nurse's training there. She married Robert Ashman, May 21, 1929; he died in 1961.

Surviving; Half-brothers, John Maddox, Carman, Ill., and Albert Maddox, Sr., West Burlington; half-sisters, Mrs. Frances Smythe, Mt. Union, Mrs. Mary Smythe, Aurora, Ill., and Mrs. Ada Walker, Burlington; stepdaughters, Mrs. Virginia Brandt and Mrs. Evelyn Shaw, both of California
