Earle A. Smith

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - Earle A. Smith, 72, former Burlington resident, died Thursday, July 25, at San Antonio Community hospital. Burial was at Mason City, Iowa.

Mr. Smith was born in Mason City, May 31, 1902, and married Edna May Farmer there May 25, 1925. He worked at the Mason City Globe - Gazette until joining the Hawk-Eye Gazette advertising staff in Burlington in 1929. He became advertising manager of the Hibbing(Minn.)Daily Tribune in 1943 and retired in 1969.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, two brothers and four grandchildren.
