Valerie Tutwiler
Valerie L. Tutwiler, 52, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Born Oct. 19, 1954, in Newton, Ill., she was the daughter of Ralph and Evelyn Fisher Ludington. On Dec. 30, 1995, she married Ronald Tutwiler.

Mrs. Tutwiler was an Avon representative. She worked at Fort Madison Bank & Trust Co. She previously worked as an estimator for Lehigh Press Printing in Broadview, Ill.

She was active in the junior banking programs in the Fort Madison Grade Schools. She served as an officer of the Lamoine Valley Chapter of ABATE of Illinois for the past eight years and was involved with the Big River Rally Committee. She was a member of the Fort Madison Moose Lodge. She enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting, working outdoors and spending time on the family farm.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jesse Register of Galesburg, Ill., and Wesley Skees of Nauvoo, Ill.; four grandchildren; stepmother, Becky Ludington of Stronghurst, Ill.; six sisters, LuAnn Brakeville of Little York, Ill., Mary Carolan of Tempe, Ariz., Sue Phillips of Dallas City, Stephanie Knoedler of St. Ann, Mo., Cynthia McNeely of Mesa, Ariz., and Amanda Ludington of Burlington; five brothers, Ralph Ludington of Panhandle, Texas, Mark Ludington of Bloomington, Ill., Charles Ludington of Mesa, Scott Ludington of Burlington and Ronald Ludington of Stronghurst; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City.

The funeral for Mrs. Tutwiler will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Banks and Beals Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dianne Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery in Durham, Ill.

A memorial has been established.
