Zelma Bundy

Zelma M. Bundy, 89, of Gladstone, Ill., died at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born May 24, 1918, in Stronghurst, Ill., she was the daughter of Clifford and Lena Jacobs Pendry. She was raised by her grandparents, Maggie and Joseph Jacobs. On May 11, 1937, she married H. Keith Bundy. He died May 9, 1972.

Mrs. Bundy was a homemaker. She worked at various small jobs and at Klein Unit in Burlington in the housekeeping department until her retirement.

She attended Olena, Ill., rural schools. She enjoyed bingo, going to the boat and short bus trips. She enjoyed watching television.

Survivors include two daughters, Marge Shultz of Burlington and Judith Bundy of Gladstone; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister and two brothers.

Visitation is Sunday afternoon and Monday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Biggsville, Ill.

The graveside service for Mrs. Bundy will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Carman Cemetery in Carman, Ill.
