Lewis James Perkins

Lewis James Perkins, 79, of 1001 S. Garfield, died in Burlington Medical Center Monday, Oct. 21.

He was born Jan. 12, 1906, at Lone Tree, to James T. and Eliza Jane Finley Perkins. He married Anna Shepherd March 10, 1926, in Burlington; she died Jan. 12, 1971.

Mr. Perkins, a pressman at National Research Bureau, retired in 1969. He had also been a security guard at F&M Bank. He was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving; A sister, Susie Lyons, Burlington.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church, the Rev. Russell Schirman, Wapello Cemetery. Memorials have been established for American Heart Association and First Assembly of God Church.
