Donna Yoder

Donna Janell Yoder, 75, of Oakville, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born Nov. 11, 1927, in Toolesboro, she was the daughter of Russell and Alice Cover Mehaffy. On Sept. 12, 1948, she married Ralph M. Yoder in Burlington.

Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She also worked for PRP in Mediapolis for several years.

She was a graduate of Huron High School. She was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Brian Yoder of Burlington; two daughters, Janell Heater of Wapello and Gail Heater of Hays, Kan.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Loren Mehaffy of Gladbrook, Ronald Mehaffy of Burlington and Donald Mehaffy of Danville; and three sisters, Cleo Gerst of Mediapolis, Grace Mellinger of Burlington and Faye Fraise of West Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from noon to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Yoder will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, with the Rev. Beth Briggs officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Kingston United Methodist Church.
