Charles A. Beckman

Charles A. Beckman died on 24 Nov. 1904 at 4:10 in the afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Moritz Fischer six miles west of Roscoe in Washington Township. His death was due to paralysis and old age. Mr. Beckman was a brother of late John Beckman both well known in this part of the county. Mr. Beckman was born in Germany on 3 February 1821. Up to 10 years ago his home was near Dodgeville, Iowa. He next moved to Wayne, Iowa. Only a month ago he moved to the home of his daughter Mrs. Fischer. He is survived by 8 children. Services will be from the residence of Mrs. Fischer six miles west of Roscoe, Sunday at 9:30 A.M. The burial will be at the Old Stone Church at Dodgeville.
