William Beckman

Another old German resident of the county died last Friday. Wm. Beckmann, who was born in Minden, Prussia, seventy-eight years ago came at the age of thirty-eight to this county, settling first on Flint Creek and later at Dodgeville. He leaves a widow, two daughters, Mrs. D. Sifken and Mrs. Chas. Wagner and seven sons, Henry, Louis, Wesley, George, Amos, William and John.
The deceased had been ill three weeks with kidney trouble. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Stone church north of Dodgeville.
