Dale H. Keuter, 75, of Dyersville, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, after a brief illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville. Burial: St. Francis Cemetery. Monsignor Ed Petty will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, with a Scripture service at 4 p.m.

Dale was born Oct. 8, 1928, in Dyersville, Iowa, the son of Ulrich and Stella (Schneider) Keuter. He graduated from Xavier High School in the class of 1946. On Sept. 13, 1952, he married Eileen Mary Wills at St. Michael's Church in Galena, Ill. Dale was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1734 and K of C 4th Degree Dubourg Assembly. He loved to travel and play cards.

Dale founded Eastern Iowa Pork in Earlville in 1975. His passion was sales and he enjoyed traveling to meet with prospective and current clients. He was a leader and an innovator in manufacturing for the livestock industry.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; three sons, Kim (Kathy) of Dubuque, Karl (Judy) and Kevin (Monica), both of Manchester; a daughter, Kathy (Pat) Krapfl of Earlville; nine grandchildren, Kurt and Kwin Keuter, Kaci, Kipp, Kody and Kory Keuter, Matt, Callie and Derek Krapfl; a sister, Mrs. Doris Deutmeyer of Dyersville; and a brother, Lloyd (Judy) Keuter of Dyersville.

He was preceded in death by two infant daughters and a brother-in-law, Henry Deutmeyer.

Memorials are preferred to the Dale Keuter Memorial Fund.
