Olive M. Hoefer, 99, of Stonehill Care Center, died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the care center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael's Cathedral, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1898, in Petersburg, Iowa, daughter of John and Cecilia (Krapfl) Nurre. She married Raymond H. Hoefer on Jan. 21, 1921, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Petersburg; he died July 13, 1959.

Olive formerly enjoyed square dancing and was part of Rose's Ramblers square dancers. She also liked to play cards, especially euchre.

Surviving are four daughters, Lillian D. Hoefer, of Dubuque, Verna L. (Don) Muhowski, of Milwaukee, and Sister M. Gabrielle Hoefer, RSM, and Sister M. Monica Hoefer, RSM, both Sisters of Mercy, Dubuque.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Martin (Catherine) Koopman, Mrs. Henry (Louisa) Willenbring and Mrs. Henry (Ida) Heiring; and four brothers, Ben, Hubert, Albert and Anton Nurre.

Memorials may be given to Stonehill Care Center.
