Interment: St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa

Survivors include three daughters: Wilma (Dale) Mensen of Dyersville, IA, Shirley (Leonard) Thein of Garnavillo, IA, JoAnn (Jerry) Cox of Champaign, IL; four sons: Louis (Betty) Helle of Cedar Rapids, IA, David (Leslee) Helle of Dyersville, IA, Joe (Peggy) Helle and Wayne (Kathy) Helle both of Garnavillo, IA; 2 sisters-in-law, Joan Helle of Dubuque and Frances Helle of Edgewood, Iowa. 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph, on February 7, 1974; four sisters: Angeline Riesberg, Marcella Lammers, Cyrilla Goedken and Sylveria Lammers. She was also preceded by a great grandson.

Ardella was born on April 19, 1913 in New Vienna, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mary (Buetel) Riesberg. She married Joseph August Helle on October 15, 1935 in New Vienna, Iowa. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and Quilting.
