Gerhardt NABER-1829-1891

NABER, RICHLS OR RICHLE, SCHLICHTING

My mom's grandpa was (Johann) Gerhardt Naber. We've traced him from Oldenburg, Germany to Bremen, Delaware, Iowa, and it seems he stayed in Iowa all his life.
From different reports (books and online), we think he married two different Elizabeths, one named Schlichting and the other (on Grandmas' death certificate), Richls or Richle. We can't seem to find any more information than that, other than a blurb in a book about the young wife of a Gerhard Naber drowning in the river.
If you have ANY information, we'd greatly appreciate hearing from you!
We have info on what happened to the second Elizabeth here in Minnesota ;^)
