He had been the president of the Wheeler-Shebler Carburetor Company, and had amassed a fortune estimated at over a million dollars. He was one of the organizers of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and has for years taken much interest in the development of the motor industry. He is survived by his wife and one son, and the aged mother who resides in Manchester. The news of his tragic death reached Manchester last week, causing genuine sorrow in the hearts of many who knew him so well. The sympathy of many friends goes to the aged mother, and to the immediate members of the family.
