Worthy Farmer Northwest of Town Died Saturday.

F.C.W. Gienapp passed away at his home a few miles northwest of Hopkinton last Saturday at 11 p.m. after suffering for a long time with a cancer of the stomach. Some months ago Mr. Gienapp sought relief at the Mayo hospital at Rochester, but the malignant nature of the disease forestalled any help from the surgeon's skill. For several months he has been confined to his home, patiently awaiting the summons that he realized must come. The fneral was held Tuesday, the body being taken to the EArlville Lutheran church, where the services were held and interment, made in Earlville cemetery. Rev Hans Nesther, pastor of the Castle Grove Lutheran church officiated.

Fredrick William Carl Gienapp was born June 13, 1854 at Zinzow, Germany. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. In 1882 he wa married to Miss Bertha Reggentine, and to this union eleven children were born, eight of whom are surviving. They are Mrs. William Phillipp of Delaware, Mrs. Henry Burrack of Castle Grove, Minnie, Hilda, Ella and Clara, Rudolph an Paul. besides these are the bereaved wife and aged mother, one brother, John Gienapp of Nebraska, and a sister, Mrs. Ben Kurth of Hopkinton.

Mr. Gienapp had been a resident of this county for 31 years and he was known as an industrious and worthy citizen in every respect. He was faithful to his church, a considerate husband and father, and there are a host of neighbors and friends who sincerely sorrow for his untimely passing. Hopkinton Leader
