ave James Becker, 43, of Delhi, Iowa, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born on May 3, 1970, in Manchester, the son of Larry and Sue (Bessey) Becker. Dave was raised and educated in the area, graduating in 1988 from the West Delaware High School in Manchester.

Dave was employed by EIP in Earlville for 20 plus years. He has lived in Delhi the past 12 years. On April 12, 1997, Dave was united in marriage to Laurie Gibbs.

Dave was an avid football fan, especially of the Steelers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting,and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Becker of Delhi; a son, Cody Becker of Delhi; his father, Larry (Sandra) Becker of Enid, Oklahoma; two sisters, Dawn Becker of Manchester and Kasey (John) McCormack of Earlville; three step-children , Emigdio Ramirez of Anamosa, Amalia Ramirez of Delhi, and Jorge Ramirez of Chicago; one half-sister, Autumn (Tony) Hensley of Marion; three step-grandchildren, Mianna, Lucy, and Cruz; and several nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Sue.

Memorials are preferred rather than flowers and may be directed to the University of Iowa Hospital.
