EARLVILLE, Iowa - Sandra L. Zirtzman, 37, of Earlville, died after a long fight with cancer Monday, April 29, 1996, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Delaware, with the Rev. Jonathan Wessel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Clifton Funeral Home, Earlville, and after 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Zirtzman was employed with the Maquoketa Valley School District, in Earlville and later at Delhi, as a teachers aide for the past 15 years.

Sandra Lee was born on Nov. 19, 1958, in Des Moines, daughter of James and Esther Uden. The family moved to Earlville in 1967, where Sandra lived the rest of her life.

She married Raymond F. Zirtzman on July 15, 1978, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Manchester.

She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School, Delhi, in 1977. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Maquoketa Valley Athletic Boosters and the Earlville Athletic Association. She was an avid Maquoketa Valley sports enthusiast.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond, a son, Alan, and a daughter, Amy, all of Earlville; her parents, James and Esther Uden, of Des Moines; two brothers, Joel Uden, of Iowa City, and Jeff (Nancy) Uden, of Hudson; two sisters, Cheryl (David) Wolf, of Earlville, and Julie (Dale) Engelken, of Des Moines; and four nieces and three nephews.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and the Maquoketa Valley Track Fund.
