MRS. FRANK GOERDT

Dyersville, Ia., - SPECIAL: Mrs. Frank Goerdt, 67, died at the family home Tuesday afternoon as the result of a heart attack. She had been ailing for a week.

As Catherine Schockemoehle, she was born Dec. 25, 1869 at Worthington. She received her education there and on Feb. 11, 1890, she was married there to Frank Goerdt by the Rev. H. Heir at St. Francis Catholic Church. They lived on a farm until 12 years ago when they moved to Dyersville.

She was a member of the Rosary Society.

She is survived by three daughters; Rose at home, Mrs. Michael Steffen, and Mrs. Ernest Grawe; four sons, Edward, Albert, William, and Emil, all of Dyersville; one brother, Barney Schockemoehle of Worthington; and four sisters; Mrs. Conrad Schmecker of Petersburg, and Mrs. James Brunkan, Mrs. Henry Koopmann, and Mrs. Gus Koopmann, all of Dyersville.

Her husband preceded her in death.

The body is at the family home. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Francis Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
