HOPKINTON - The funeral of Charles L. LeClere, 82, will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 1:30 o'clock in First Presbyterian church with interment in Hopkinton cemetery. Rev. Paul K. H. Figge will officiate.

Mr. LeClere died late Monday afternoon, Jan. 17, at the Senior Home, Monticello, where he had been a resident the past month.

He was born May 19, 1894, near Coggon and was the son of Henry C. and Margaret E. Drexler LeClere. He received his early education in the rural schools of Linn county, and was employed in that area at farm work.

Mr. LeClere then worked on road construction for many years and later operated a road maintainer at Toulon, Ill.

Surviving are ten brothers and sisters, Raymond H. of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Henry (Theresa) Winch, Burton A., Otto D., Mrs. Fern Kemp, Eunice LeClere, John L. and Verle L., all of Hopkinton, Mrs. Bert (Martha) Bickel of Central City and Mrs. Ray (Myrtilla) Bawden of Vinton.

Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Casket bearers were Asa Thrasher, Guy Swank, Gordon Allen, Donald Hucker, Chester Jaeger and Edmund Budden.
