Archie R. Payne, 85, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 1995, in Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, after a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Hopkinton, where a Scripture service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Callista; two daughters, Ruthann Feltes of Hopkinton and Rosemary Glass of Delaware, Iowa; a brother, Harold Payne of Dubuque; and two sisters, Darlene Colton of Venice, Fla., and Gladys Springer of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
