William H. Schott, 82, of Hopkinton, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at First United Church of Hopkinton. Interment: St. James United Methodist Church Rose Garden, Tucson, Ariz. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, is caring for the Schott family.

Surviving are his wife, Esther; two children, Diane Rasch, Rockford, Ill., and Duane Schott, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a niece they raised, Susan Davis, Kensett, Iowa; a sister, Lorraine Walters, McGregor; and two brothers, Charles, Minneapolis, and Donald of Savannah, Ill.
