DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Frances Scherbring, 78, formerly of Dyersville, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.

Mrs. Scherbring was a homemaker all of her life.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1919, in Herman, Minn., daughter of Fred and Frances (Huberty) Fischbach. She married Richard G. Scherbring on Jan. 5, 1938.

Surviving are five daughters, Marilyn Kraus, of Dubuque, Carol Ann (Dan) Grawe, of Milan, Ill., Sharon (Pat) Hunt, of DeWitt, Jeannie (Arthur) Eudaley, of Dubuque, and Judith (John) Smigiel, of Arcade, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Jasper, of Dyersville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1985; a grandson, Brock Lewey; her parents; and a sister, Evelyn Singer.
