PETERSBURG, Iowa -- Kimberly B. Rolfes, 42, of Petersburg, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Dennis Quint officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 2 p.m.

She was born on May 29, 1969, in Dubuque, daughter of Roy White and Peggy (McEnany) White. She graduated from Beckman High School with the class of 1987.

On June 26, 1999, after a very long engagement, she married William J. Rolfes at St. Francis Xavier Basilica.

She was a dedicated employee of Modernfold for nearly 17 years.

Reading and spending time with family and friends were some of Kim's favorite pastimes.

Surviving are her husband, Bill; two children, Nicki White (special friend, Nick Klein), of Waterloo, and Adam Rolfes, of Petersburg; her parents, Roy White (special friend, Cheryl Meader), of Earlville, and Peggy (McEnany) White, of Worthington; a sister, Kelly (Ken) Schuyler and their children, Danielle and Sydney, of Germantown, Wis.; her father-in-law, Marvin (Janet) Rolfes, of Colesburg; brothers- and-sisters-in-law, Bob Rolfes, of Petersburg, Kathy and her son, Aaron Hefel, of Dyersville, Lori (Larry) Clark, of Osage, Lana (Doug) Hollar, of Calmar, Lisa (Todd) Miller, of Charles City, and Lee (Cristine) Morley, of Westgate; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Patricia Rolfes; and grandparents, John and Velma White and Louis and Stella McEnany.
